Oil Eater®has many uses & many ways to dilute. From full strength when trying to get a stain out of a garment or other porous surface to 100 to 1 in a jet wash. As a “General Cleaner” if you, will start at 10 to 1. Here are the most common floor cleaning  & parts washing dilutions:

Start with the following dilutions for parts washing

Oil Eater’s proprietary corrosion inhibiting formula allows for use in an array of parts washer types.

Start with the following dilutions for parts washing

  • Sink Style/Brake Washer/Hand Washing: 3 to 4 parts water to 1 part Oil Eater®.
  • Ultrasonic unit: 20 to 25 parts water to 1 part Oil Eater®.
  • Heated Dip Tank: 30 parts water to 1 part Oil Eater®.
  • Agitating Unit: 40 waters water to 1 part Oil Eater®.
  • Spray Wash Cabinet: 70 to 100 parts water to one part Oil Eater®.

If your parts come out of the bath feeling slippery or you have a white residue, you have used a little too much Oil Eater® -add more water. When you have Oil Eater®proper diluted with water, the water will keep the oil/grease/etc. in suspension away from the part. Another benefit from proper dilution is that when not in use, Oil Eater®will release the oil. The oil will rise to the surface. So when you turn your parts washer off for the day you can use a skimmer or simply put an “oil only” absorbent in the reservoir & the oil that has risen to the surface will be removed from the solution helping your solution last longer.

If an addition rust/corrosion inhibitor is desired, it can be added to the solution without affecting the effectiveness of Oil Eater®.

If Oil Eater® is needed at a stronger dilution than above & foaming is an issue, a defoamer can be used without affecting the effectiveness of Oil Eater®.
