Shoppa’s Material Handling brings Warehouse Solutions under one trusted brand

Listen to this article

Shoppa’s Material Handling, one of North America’s largest Toyota forklift distributors, has announced the integration of its warehouse automation and intralogistics capabilities under the Shoppa’s Material Handling brand, creating a single, unified organization focused on delivering complete material handling solutions.

The transition reflects both the changing needs of customers and the direction of the industry. As warehouses and distribution centers increasingly combine traditional material-handling equipment with automation, robotics, software, and integrated systems, customers are looking for a single trusted partner to help them design, implement, and support their operations end-to-end.

The announcement also aligns with the recent formation of Toyota Automated Logistics, formerly known as Bastian Solutions, viastore and Vanderlande’s warehousing business, to design and deliver fully integrated, end-to-end automation ecosystems tailored to each customer’s operation. Like Toyota’s strategy, Shoppa’s is bringing together complementary capabilities to create a simpler, more seamless experience for customers while expanding the expertise available through a single, trusted brand.

“Our customers have trusted Shoppa’s for decades because we’ve always innovated alongside their business,” said Jimmy Shoppa, President of Shoppa’s Material Handling. “As the industry continues to embrace automation and integrated warehouse technologies, we’re bringing all of our capabilities together under one name to make it easier for customers to access the expertise, equipment, and support they need. Much like TMHNA’s recent alignment of its automation businesses, this is a natural evolution that positions us to deliver even greater value while remaining the trusted partner our customers have always relied on.”

Customers now gain access to a fully integrated portfolio of solutions—backed by comprehensive service, parts, rentals, maintenance, and lifecycle support across every product and solution they provide:

  • Toyota forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Warehouse design, engineering, and systems integration
  • Racking and storage solutions
  • Warehouse automation and robotics, including AS/RS, AMRs, vertical lift modules, conveyor, and sortation systems
  • Dock and door equipment
  • Industrial energy and storage solutions
  • Industrial floor cleaning equipment
  • Toyota Lean Management consulting

By unifying these capabilities under the Shoppa’s Material Handling name, customers will experience a more streamlined engagement, improved collaboration among engineering and service teams, and a single point of accountability from initial consultation through ongoing support.

The integration builds on Shoppa’s long-standing reputation for customer service while strengthening its ability to help organizations improve productivity, address labor challenges, increase warehouse capacity, and prepare for the future of supply chain operations.

As part of this strategic evolution, Shoppa’s Material Handling has named a seasoned material handling professional, Racak, who has been with Shoppa’s for 16 years, helping customers develop innovative solutions that improve productivity, optimize warehouse operations, and support long-term growth. In his new role, he will lead the company’s continued expansion of its warehouse solutions portfolio, bringing together automation, systems integration, and material handling expertise under a unified vision.

“The future of warehouse operations isn’t about chasing the latest tech — it’s about bringing the right mix of equipment and automation together to solve real-world challenges,” said Matt Racak, Senior Vice President of Warehouse Solutions. “Our approach starts with the customer’s operation, not a predefined system. We help customers understand exactly what automation can solve, what it can’t, and when it makes financial sense. Unifying our expertise under the Shoppa’s Material Handling brand gives customers a partner who understands their entire operation — receiving, moving, storing, and shipping product — and guides them to the right next step for smarter, scalable growth.”
