TVH in the Americas (TVH), a global provider of quality replacement parts and accessories for the material handling and equipment industries, recently had several employees participate in a volunteer event at the Boys & Girls Club in Olathe, Kan. on March 14, 2019 and at the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County, IL on March 27, 2019. At the Olathe club, the kids played games in the gym with the volunteers and did various crafts and activities in the class rooms. The volunteers at the Lake County club helped the kids make ships out of cardboard boxes and other supplies. At the end of the day, each ship was judged and prizes were handed out.
These volunteer opportunities are made possible through TVHCares, a charitable program that encourages TVH employees to get involved and make an impact in the local community. Through the program, employees have the opportunity to work with many non-profit organizations and charities. The TVHCares committee works closely with the Boys & Girls Club of Olathe and Lake County to offer several volunteer opportunities throughout the year for our employees.
“This is one of my favorite volunteer opportunities. The kids always have so much fun when we are there. It is a fun way to spend some of our volunteer time,” commented Desree Loethen, Returns Specialist.
