TREW, LLC  has announced that it plans to base its headquarters in southwest Ohio and create over 100 new jobs in executive management, engineering, sales, customer service and other disciplines by December 31, 2021. TREW provides full-service material handling capabilities, including software, machine controls, conveyor, sortation, order fulfillment and other solutions for the warehouse, distribution, manufacturing and e-commerce industries. TREW is currently considering location options in Southwest Ohio.

“The material handling industry continues to grow and we see many advantages to establishing our headquarters in Ohio and to partner with state and local government,” shared Mark Tefend, CEO of TREW.  “We are excited to invest in our home state, create new jobs and develop our employees; we are grateful for the economic assistance from Ohio to make our dreams a reality.”

“TREW had options when deciding where to locate its new headquarters, and we are proud it chose Southwest Ohio,” said Glenn Richardson, JobsOhio managing director for advanced manufacturing.  “We welcome TREW’s confidence in Ohio, and its investment in an advanced facility that will bring 100 new jobs that support innovative material handling solutions for its customers.”

“It’s been a pleasure supporting TREW’s growth as they consider where to locate their new headquarters,” said Kimm Lauterbach, President and CEO of REDI Cincinnati. “Greater Cincinnati has the right access to tech talent and advantageous location, which makes it the perfect place for TREW to continue to grow its innovative products and services.”

TREW worked with several state and local partners, including JobsOhio, the Ohio Development Services Agency and REDI Cincinnati to obtain support for assistance with the job-creating project. The company received a Job Creation Tax Credit of 2.59% for a duration of nine years. TREW chose Ohio due to the availability of information technology and engineering talent, accessibility to multiple customers who have retail and ecommerce distribution centers and the willingness of organizations to help businesses access resources to enable growth.
