New Harris Poll about Blue Collar Workers to be released Wednesday

Just in time for Labor Day, Express Employment Professionals will release the results of a new, nationwide survey of more than 1,000 blue collar workers on Wednesday, Aug. 29. The survey, conducted by The Harris Poll offers a rare look at the attitudes and outlook of America’s blue collar workforce, a group that has been the subject of much scrutiny and conversation in recent years.

Findings reveal blue collar workers are generally more optimistic than the general population and more likely to believe the country is headed in the right direction. They are proud of their jobs, satisfied with the economic circumstances and expect their children will have a better future, in contrast to similar polling of the general population.

The survey’s findings also reveal distrust of politicians generally. And while blue collar workers are slightly more likely to identify as Democrats, Republicans have a small edge in being viewed as more helpful to working people.

If you would like to obtain an advance copy of the survey results or arrange an interview with Express CEO Bill Stoller to discuss this topic, please contact Sheena Karami, Director of Corporate Communications and PR, at 405 717-5966.
