New Wednesday–Friday Schedule, Enhanced MD-IDEX Experience and Premier Educational Programming Await Attendees
Registration is now open for the 2026 PTDA Industry Summit, the largest annual gathering of professionals in the power transmission and motion control (PT/MC) industry. Taking place October 28–30 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado, this year’s event introduces several enhancements designed to maximize attendee value while delivering the high-impact networking and business development opportunities the Industry Summit is known for.
Responding directly to member feedback, the 2026 Industry Summit moves to a new Wednesday-through-Friday schedule, allowing attendees to maximize their time onsite while returning home before the weekend.
“Our members told us they wanted a schedule that better balanced business and personal commitments,” said PTDA President Jim Jeffiers, Applied Industrial Technologies. “The new format allows attendees to take full advantage of the networking, education and business opportunities that define the Industry Summit while making travel more convenient.”
Centered around the theme Power of Peaks and Partnerships, the Industry Summit brings together manufacturers, distributors and associates for three days of strategic networking, industry insight and relationship-building.
The 2026 event also features an enhanced MD-IDEX (Manufacturer-Distributor Idea Exchange) experience. Distributor- and associate-hosted booths will be held during morning sessions, while manufacturers and associates will host booths during the afternoon. The flexible, open-format approach allows attendees to self-schedule meetings and engage in meaningful conversations with channel partners throughout the day. New this year, afternoon MD-IDEX sessions will feature refreshments and an open bar, providing an even more relaxed setting for continued discussion. Manufacturer members interested in reserving an MD-IDEX booth can do so at ptda.org/MD-IDEX. Rates will increase by $250 after August 17.
The educational program will feature nationally recognized speakers and industry leaders addressing the issues shaping today’s business environment. Economist Bernard Baumohl will open the conference with Bracing for a New Reality: Navigating Through Economic & Geopolitical Instability, examining the economic forces and global trends impacting businesses today. The program also includes a member leadership panel exploring the current state of the PT/MC industry. It concludes with an inspiring keynote from Mike Singletary on leadership, accountability, and building high-performing teams.
Networking remains at the heart of the Industry Summit, beginning with the Peaks, Pints and Partnerships Welcome Event and continuing through networking meals, Women in the Industry and First-Timer events, Family-Owned Business Leaders Roundtables and countless informal opportunities to connect with industry peers.
Registration is now open. Visit ptda.org/IndustrySummit for registration information, hotel reservations and the complete event schedule.
