GS1 appoints US Vice President, Human Resources

GS1 US has appointed Gregory Rogers vice president, human resources. In this role, Mr. Rogers is responsible for developing a comprehensive human capital management program for all GS1 US employees to further drive organizational effectiveness. “Greg brings a proven ability to drive results across multiple industries by designing and implementing human resources programs that address the needs of the business,” said Bob Carpenter, president and CEO, GS1 US. “Greg will have a key leadership role in aligning organizational initiatives with our long-range business strategy of helping industries use GS1 standards in key business processes to improve cost efficiency and revenue performance.” Mr. Rogers is responsible for developing and implementing human resources programs for GS1 US, including talent strategy, training and development, compensation, performance management, succession planning, organizational development, employee relations, change management, talent management, and employee communications.

Mr. Rogers has more than 30 years of human resource experience. Prior to joining GS1 US, he served as vice president, human resources for Revlon, where he was responsible for worldwide human resources programs and services for more than 4,800 employees. At Revlon, he led the US human resource function, providing generalist consulting, recruiting, benefits, compensation, labor relations, organizational development, succession planning, and performance management support. Mr. Rogers previously served as director of human resources for the utility operations business unit of Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco, and held a variety of positions in human resources and general management with the company. He earned a master’s of business administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources Management and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
