Yale recognized by Food Logistics as top green provider

Yale Materials Handling Corporation was named a Top Green Provider by Food Logistics this week for showing leadership in manufacturing environmentally friendly materials handling equipment as well as succeeding in creating an internal environment of sustainability. “This is an honor for Yale. From our efficient zero-emissions electric trucks to our IC trucks powered by cleaner-burning fuels, our people are making a concerted effort to provide the highest level of service by listening to the green desires of our customers ,” said Bill Pfleger, president of Yale Distribution. “The programs we introduce, ranging from fleet management to our certified remanufactured program, are designed to increase efficiency and sustainability for the end user.”

Food Logistics selected food producers and manufacturers, 3PLs and transportation and logistics providers, equipment manufacturers and other companies who have demonstrated and acted on concerns for the environment to its list of Top Green Providers. The companies recognized are profiled in the June 2013 issue of Food Logistics for their efforts to incorporate sustainable practices in the workplace and among their customers.
