Yale Materials Handling Corporation was recently selected among 75 logistics providers as a Top Green Supply Chain Partner by Inbound Logistics. The company was featured in the group as part of a recent issue.  “Selection for this award after intense effort and investment in green technology is a great honor for Yale. We strive toward providing energy-efficient solutions to our customers on a daily basis, and this recognition further confirms that we are succeeding at our goal,” said Bill Pfleger, president of Yale Distribution. “Hours of research have been conducted in order to develop some of the most environmentally and operator friendly lift trucks in the market today.”

Chosen out of hundreds of applicants, the Inbound Logistics editorial staff determines the G75 list based a number of qualifications including companies’ investments in sustainable technologies, their improvement, measurable green results and other accolades among peers for environmentally friendly work. Other considerations include corporate sustainability initiatives, active participation in public-private partnerships and collaborative customer-driven projects.

As one of the largest volume producers of zero-emissions electric lift trucks in the North American market, Yale provides energy-efficient electric lift trucks and ICE trucks that have the capacity to operate on alternative fuel sources. Starting from the design stage, Yale® lift trucks are built with recyclability in mind. In electric lift trucks, energy consumption is drastically reduced due to efficient AC motor and control technologies paired with the ability to recapture energy while braking and lowering loads, allowing for energy reuse.
