UniCarriers Americas [Nissan Forklift Corporation, North America recently merged with TCM America to form UniCarriers Americas] awarded its top dealers’ sales professionals of both new forklifts and aftermarket parts with a trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands during its Pack for the Sun event. More than 40 sales professionals qualified to join UniCarriers Americas personnel at the Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort in Charlotte Amalie Harbor as a reward for their continued commitment to growing the Nissan Forklift brand. To qualify for the trip, dealer sales managers and sales representatives were entered into three contest groups determined by their dealership’s market size in units. Parts managers and aftermarket personnel were entered into four contest groups determined by market sizes in total dollars of parts sold. The highest number of points determined the top representatives in each of the contest groups during 2012. Participants arrived at the beach resort in Charlotte Amalie Harbor in mid-February and spent six days enjoying the resort, the beach, stunning views and a variety of fun activities, including the 2012 Pack for the Sun Sales Award ceremony. “This year’s annual trip was a wonderful time for our dealership sales representatives to interact with peers and UniCarriers Americas executives in a beautiful and relaxing location,” said James J. Radous III, vice president, sales and marketing, UniCarriers Americas. “I’ve been with Nissan Forklift for 20 years and this was the 19th trip I’ve won. I’ve learned valuable information from my fellow salespeople and the Nissan Forklift family,” said Wayne Peterson, sales representative from Adobe Equipment in Houston. “We build our knowledge base of the industry and strong relationships during what has become an annual trip.”
