TVH in the Americas (TVH) has recently participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that has taken social media by storm this summer. TVH joined the cause to raise awareness and funds for the ALS Association. Many employees had already taken the plunge for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and nominated the TVH Executive team to participate as well: the challenge was accepted!
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge dares nominees to be filmed while having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads. The participants must, in turn, nominate other people to take the challenge. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is raising awareness and research funds for ALS. Els Thermote, CEO; Pat McLaughlin, President; Frank Carter, Vice President of Operations; and Dirk von Holt, Vice President of Sales and Marketing all participated in the challenge at the Olathe headquarters on Friday, August 22nd.
TVH held a raffle for employees to see which lucky employees would get to dump ice water on the executives. Employees could select the executive they wanted by placing their raffle ticket in each executive’s raffle box. This raffle raised over $1,100 in donations. TVH has matched all donations, for a total donation of over $2,300 for the ALS Association. Will YOU accept the challenge and participate?
