TVH celebrates Earth Day at the Boys and Girls Club of Olathe

Olathe employees volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club in Olathe on April 15th, to celebrate Earth Day. The day kicked off making earth-friendly bird feeders, followed by a lesson on vegetable gardening from a master gardener. The children planted vegetables, pulled weeds and cleaned up the grounds. Over ten bags of compost and three bags of trash were collected. Other Earth Day activities included a recycle relay with special guest Gary Walker, the “King of Green,” and other outdoor games.

This volunteer opportunity was made possible through TVHCares, a charitable program that encourages TVH employees to get involved and make an impact in the local community.  Through the program, employees have the opportunity to work with many non-profit organizations and charities.  Since its inception in 2015, over 125 employees from across the Americas have volunteered at local nonprofits in their area.
