Victoria Blackwell, a longtime leader of the California Rental Association and former co-owner of Aba Daba Rentals in Sacramento, has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She played a key role in shaping the association and was widely respected as a leader, mentor, and friend. She was 68.
Born Sept. 2, 1957, in Detroit, she moved to California in 1979 and joined Aba Daba Rents in 1982, where she met her husband, Dale. Married in 1984, they built both a successful business and a large blended family while supporting the rental industry for decades.
After Dale’s passing in 2020, Blackwell continued running the business until its sale in 2024. She was known for her warmth, resilience, love of travel, and devotion to family.
She is survived by her children and 11 grandchildren. The CRA and her family remember her lasting impact, kindness, and dedication, extending condolences to all who knew her.
