Hyster Company announces that Brett Schemerhorn, President of Big Trucks, Americas, has been named to the 2015 list of Pros to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. These awards recognize supply chain executives, and manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises, that are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies’ supply chains for the significant challenges of today’s business climate.

“It’s an honor to be included among so many influential individuals and enterprises as a 2015 Supply & Demand Chain Executive Pros to Know,” said Schemerhorn. “At Hyster, we work with our customers and dealers to ensure that materials handling equipment is not a detriment to operational efficiency, but instead a contributing factor to success. We pride ourselves in offering innovative products and customized solutions to keep up with evolving industry demands and to optimize the supply chain.”

An influential leader and team builder, Schemerhorn has nearly 20 years of experience in the materials handling industry. He joined the company as an inventory analyst in 1995, and has worked his way through a series of increasingly significant positions. As President of Big Trucks, Americas, Schemerhorn leads the big trucks team, which is focused on meeting the specialized materials handling needs of customers in demanding industries such as metals, mining, lumber, concrete and intermodal.

Schemerhorn has leveraged his experience in demand analysis, flow optimization and supply chain knowledge to drive value and reduce operating costs for critical market segments. An out-of-the-box thinker, he is keenly aware of the challenges customers face and works with his team to implement customized ideas to help them achieve operational success.

Selected from more than 300 entries, this year’s Pros to Know list includes individuals from software firms and service providers, consultancies or academia who have helped their supply chain clients, or the supply chain community at large, prepare to meet industry challenges.
