Ergodyne launches new ranger style bump cap

Ergodyne has announced the launch of their newest product within the Skullerz® Head Protection Line – the Skullerz® 8955 Ranger Bump Cap. Solving for two top risk categories, the new Skullerz® 8955 combines a rugged, impact-resistant ABS shell – delivering protection from cranial bumps, bruises, scrapes, and cuts – with a stylish wide-brim ranger hat for shade and protection from the sun and elements.

“Skullerz® Bump Caps have quickly become the go-to option for stylish, comfortable protection from bumps and bruises caused by overhead hazards,” said Andy Olson, associate product director, Ergodyne. “Extending this protection to workers who can also use some help with the sun and elements by incorporating our patented shell into a Ranger Hat was a natural next step in our ever-expanding head protection offering.”

The 8955 is tested and compliant to EN 812: 2012 with a patented flanged shell design that expands or contracts to fit the worker’s head in a comfortable and secure manner. Protection from the sun and elements is vital while working in extreme conditions; the thermo-formed foam and ventilated shell design not only allows for maximum breathability but also is removable for easy cleaning. Available in khaki and hi-vis polyester with reflective accents, this protective hat can be personalized with a company name or logo.

“The concept of combining our bump cap shell with our ranger hat came from one of our favorite idea sources: our customers,” said Tom Votel, president and CEO of Ergodyne. “They asked and we delivered, just in time for the looming summer months.”

Ideal for outdoor workers facing overhead hazards, the Skullerz® 8955 Ranger Bump Cap is available now at all authorized Ergodyne distributors.
