Appleton expands Areamaster- LED lighting line-up

Listen to this article

Appleton has expanded its Areamaster™ LED Series of flood/high bay luminaires to satisfy growing market demand for this cost-saving lighting technology. An immediate success since its introduction in 2012, the original Areamaster LED proved to be thirty percent more cost-efficient to operate than the next leading LED brand. Building upon this momentum, Appleton is now making its Areamaster luminaires available in three new choices of output with a maximum of 19,000 lumens. These new models open the door to a greater range of deployments for the Areamaster LED in industrial and heavy commercial facilities needing bright, long-lasting and energy-efficient lighting.

Improved heat dissipation
Appleton Areamaster LED luminaires has been upgraded with advanced LED drivers, assuring the most efficient heat dissipation and the capacity to operate at higher ambient temperatures. New LED emitters, featured on several Areamaster models, deliver the efficacy, color quality, light output and long life required to create a safe, productive workplace. Another important improvement is an optional polycarbonate lens now available on all models. Certain airborne elements can diminish the integrity of acrylic lenses, making polycarbonate a better choice, especially in the food and beverage industry or in dusty environments such as mines

Simplified installation & maintenance
At only 15.5″ square, 4″ deep and 22 lb. in weight, Areamaster LED luminaires are easier to install than many other types of floodlights, including competing LED models. Once installed, they provide reliable, high-quality light over a maintenance-free lifetime of 60,000 hours. The bronze polyester coated copperfree aluminum housing is designed to protect internal components year after year, even in weather-exposed, corrosive and rugged environments. And when Areamaster LED floodlights do require maintenance, a one-piece housing and one-piece hinged lens and cover secured by four captive stainless steel screws allows for easy access.
