Listen to this article

Caster Concepts Inc. will host a press conference at 1 p.m., Tuesday March 24 at its booth – 5244 – during ProMat in Chicago to highlight workplace solutions including its development of ergonomic products designed to reduce the leading causes of workplace injuries.

Caster Concepts will unveil its ergonomic line of caster wheels, rigs and polyurethane tread that significantly reduce exertion and the risk of injuries from over-exertion such as pushing and pulling. Over-exertion is the leading cause of workplace injuries in the United States, costing businesses more than $15 billion. The Caster Concepts’ product line includes a noise reduction caster, which targets hearing loss, the second leading cause of employee illness in the U.S.

The press conference will also feature the Caster Configurator, a free online design tool that allows engineers to design a caster to address specific challenges. The Caster Configurator generates a downloadable 2D/3D CAD model that can be viewed in any browser, with detailed specs included.

Caster Concepts is equipped to manufacture about 99 percent of the casters designed on the configurator. The company’s build-to-order capabilities enable it to manufacture custom orders, regardless of the quantity, within days.
