U.S. Xpress Logistics chooses MacroPoint as brokered freight tracking solution

The logistics and brokerage division for the nation’s fifth largest truckload carrier company, U.S. Xpress Logistics has chosen MacroPoint as its 3rd party freight tracking solution. As the only load tracking solution built to work on any cell phone, even a standard flip phone, MacroPoint allows U.S. Xpress Logistics to receive real-time location updates without relying on driver check calls. 

“Since 2009, our brokerage division has grown aggressively, and now accounts for nearly 15% of U.S. Xpress Inc.’s entire book of business,” says Ryan Rogers, Chief Operating Officer, U.S. Xpress Logistics. “Due to this rapid growth, we needed to quickly find a solution capable of delivering visibility regardless of our carrier partners. And now with MacroPoint’s promise of automated location updates, we have gained an advantage that truly sets us apart from other logistics and brokerage companies.”

After hearing about the advantages of MacroPoint in the news, U.S. Xpress Logistics initially decided to try MacroPoint on a small, limited trial basis. The company was quickly impressed by MacroPoint’s ability to deliver automated location updates, regardless of the carrier’s phone or in-cab tracking technology, and they have decided to roll out the load tracking solution across their entire brokerage division.

“What really impressed us was MacroPoint’s ease of use. It works on all cell phones, including both standard flip phones and smart phones, and it integrates directly with our TMS system,” adds Ryan Rogers.  “This level of automated visibility gives us the peace of mind that comes from always knowing the status of a load, without ever needing to make a single driver check call.”
