Westfalia Technologies, Inc. announces president, Dan Labell, has been recognized as a 2015 Provider Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive for his demonstrated leadership in the supply chain and warehouse automation industries.

The Pros to Know Awards recognize supply chain executives, and manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises that are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies’ supply chains for the significant challenges of today’s business climate. This year’s list includes the 2015 Provider Pros to Know—individuals from software firms and service providers, consultancies or academia, who have helped their supply chain clients or the supply chain community at large prepare to meet these challenges—and Practitioner Pros, who do the same within their own companies.

Under Labell’s leadership, Westfalia is transforming supply chains through the power of warehouse automation. With Westfalia’s automation solutions – including its high-density automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) and Savanna.NET® Warehouse Execution System (WES), companies in a wide range of industries are optimizing their warehouse processes and maximizing efficiencies and savings. Typical benefits include improved space utilization, labor reduction, lower shipping costs, greater throughput and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Dan Labell, president of Westfalia Technologies, said, “With the recession in the past, companies are now in growth mode. This has created a new set of challenges – warehouse space is maxed out and upper management is putting pressure on companies to adapt to accommodate this growth while keeping costs low. Westfalia works closely with these companies as a partner, rather than a vendor, to meet the challenges of today’s supply chains and prepare for long-term growth and profitability.”

The official announcement of the Pros to Know is available online at www.SDCExec.com, and will appear in the March 2015 print issue of the magazine, due out in mid-March.
