VitalEdge Technologies has announced that Chief Executive Officer Vikram Savkar has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Associated Equipment Distributors Foundation (AEDF). He will begin his three-year term in January 2026.

AEDF is the philanthropic and workforce development arm of the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), the international trade association for equipment distributors, manufacturers,  and service providers. Through workforce development initiatives and community-based partnerships, AEDF addresses the critical shortage of skilled professionals in the equipment industry and creates career pathways for the next generation.

“The AED Foundation’s work to expand technician training, strengthen education-to-career pathways, and create opportunity is vital to the future of our industry,” said Vikram Savkar, CEO  of VitalEdge Technologies. “I am honored to be involved in AEDF’s important work. At  VitalEdge, we believe strongly in investing in people, education, and community, values that  drive our culture and guide our engagement in initiatives that strengthen both our industry and  the communities where we live and work.”

“Vikram brings proven leadership, expertise, and a valuable perspective from his work at  VitalEdge,” said Brian P. McGuire, AEDF President. “His appointment underscores the AED  Foundation’s commitment to advancing workforce development, expanding industry knowledge,  and building the partnerships needed to grow talent and secure the future of our industry.”

As a member of the AEDF Board, Savkar will contribute to shaping the Foundation’s long-term strategy and furthering initiatives that expand access to training and education. His appointment underscores VitalEdge’s core mission to help equipment dealers grow through a broad focus on people, process, and transformative technology.
