UTi Worldwide Inc. announced that Naran Andreyev was recently named Senior Manager, Trade Services for UTi’s Asia-Pacific region in this newly created role in support of customs compliance. According to Ditlev Blicher, UTi president, APAC, “We are creating a worldwide trade services network of experts and systems that offers global consistency while enabling configuration on a local level to meet client needs.” “Naran will focus on developing the region’s trade services capabilities of customs brokerage, compliance and regulatory management,” he added. “He brings a unique skill set to this role,” said Blicher, “He’s a licensed U.S. Customs Broker who’s lived and worked in APAC for more than 10 years. He speaks fluent Chinese and conversational Russian.”

“Andreyev has held a variety of roles related to Trade Services within America and China. He will ensure that proper controls are being taken to secure our clients’ supply chain and that their shipments are compliant with international customs regulations,” Blicher said.
“My background allows me the opportunity to look at the myriad issues we handle daily and provide insight based on a combination of multiple cultures and practices–basically bridging the gaps between UTi’s export and import customers” advised Andreyev.
Andreyev previously held senior positions as CEO for a China start-up internet commerce site; Commercial Director for a leading provider of global beverage logistics and supply chain management; and Managing Director of a logistics and forwarding company in China. He will be domiciled in Shanghai, China and reports directly to Blicher.
