UniCarriers Americas Corporation announces management changes at its first factory-owned dealership, New England Industrial Truck, Inc. (NEIT), headquartered in Woburn, Mass. Effective January 1, 2015, Tim Haraden will be appointed to general manager. Haraden has been general branch manager at NEIT’s Woburn branch since October 2014. He supervised day-to-day branch operations, business activities and developed strategic positioning for the dealership’s used and rental businesses. Haraden brings more than 25 years of experience, holding general manager positions at Cummins Northeast, Blue Rhino and Kinetic Concepts. He also served as a U.S. Naval officer and is a graduate of The Citadel, Charleston, S.C.

Bill Leavitt, sales manager at NEIT, Finley Gregory, NEIT Connecticut branch manager, and George Taylor, NEIT Maine branch manager, will report directly to Haraden in his new role.
Haraden will report to James J. Radous III, executive vice president, sales, UniCarriers Americas, who presides over UniCarriers Americas’ retail operations.

Dick Rossi, who has been at NEIT since 1972 and has held various key positions including president, and more recently general manager, will transition into a newly created role of sales consultant. “In the short time that Tim Haraden has been at NEIT, he’s made a strong impact and helped steer the dealership in a positive direction,” said Radous. “He brings innovative new ideas from his leadership experiences in other industries. That, along with Dick Rossi’s vast knowledge and experience, gives me the confidence of continued success and growth.”

“I’m looking forward to having a continued impact on the growth of NEIT as we leverage UniCarriers Americas’ superior products with NEIT’s sales experience, passion and knowledge of our industry, along with its dedication to customer service, to strengthen its position and reputation in the industry,” said Haraden.

“I am very excited and look forward to getting back into doing what I love—selling and interacting with NEIT’s customers,” said Rossi. “My experience and business knowledge in the material handling industry will also be valuable for helping to provide managerial guidance to NEIT as it grows and expands in new directions. Tim Haraden will have full support of myself and UCA, as we accelerate our robust growth efforts in New England under the direction of a strong, collaborative leader.”

NEIT became UniCarriers Americas’ first factory-owned dealership in August 2014. It has been an authorized dealer of UniCarriers Americas for more than 35 years. UniCarriers’ entrance into the U.S. retail market was part of its growth strategy for 2014 and beyond, and is intended to augment its high-performing dealer network by providing the broadest sales coverage and highest quality aftermarket support.

NEIT covers a territory of six states, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and currently has 84 employees. With a strong commitment to customer service and its aftermarket business, NEIT is in one of the top 10 markets in North America.
