TŬV Rheinland announces new leadership structure

TÜV Rheinland AIA Services, LLC, a full-service inspection, testing and certification business unit serving the boiler and pressure vessel industry, announces leadership and management changes effective March 1, 2015. These changes will leverage and capitalize on TÜV Rheinland’s global presence and technical competences.

Palmer Dent III, Codes and Standards Manager, assumes the position of General Manager at TÜV Rheinland AIA Services. He will be responsible for the overall direction and management of TÜV Rheinland’s American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) business unit, including profit and loss, strategic business development and tactical plan execution for North America. Dent has more than 21 years of codes and standards experience, holds the A, B, N, NS and C endorsements and is commissioned in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. He is a member of the ASME and the State of Texas Boiler Board of Rules and Regulations.

In a strategic move, former General Manager, Bernard Hrubala, will devote more time to strengthen the relations as TÜV Rheinland’s ASME Global Leader and Head of TÜV Rheinland’s Global ASME Technical Competency Center. He will continue serving customers in his position as Manager, Pressure Equipment and Plant Technologies.

“We always listen to our customers and look for ways to better address their needs, especially by drawing on the unique benefits of our global network,” said Michael Kuepper, Business Stream Director, Industrial Services, TÜV Rheinland. “The present leadership reorganization takes the best advantage of our talented employees’ strengths and puts them in positions to better help local customers access domestic and international markets.”

There are also moves on the technical and customer service side of the operation. Lawrence Selensky, Authorized Nuclear Inspector Supervisor, has been promoted to ASME Manager, Codes and Standards. He will be responsible for ASME codes and standards competence and compliance under Dent. Kimberly Gates, ASME Codes and Standards Administrator, has been appointed Operations Manager and will work on strengthening and maintaining relationships with customers; capturing and analyzing market intelligence; and managing sales plans, pricing, tactical implementation and organizational sales improvement activities.

“This is an exciting time for us at TÜV Rheinland because we take our vision of becoming the number one provider of ASME related inspection services to the next level, a global level, thanks to the expertise, trust and visibility we have earned in the industry,” said Dent.
