Toshiba wins 2015 Gold Stevie™ Award for LEAD event

In recognition of its LEAD (Learn, Engage, Act, Deliver) 2014 event, Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. has won the 2015 Gold Stevie® Award for ‘Best Sales Meeting of the Year.’ The honor marks the fourth consecutive year Toshiba has secured a Stevie Award for its annual LEAD meeting.

Toshiba’s LEAD event – held last November in Dallas – was a qualitative and quantifiable success based on nearly any metric imaginable. Close to 550 people – comprised of Toshiba end users, sales professionals, vendors, media and analysts – converged on north Texas to attend the company’s annual sales meeting to gain newfound knowledge and insight.

To kick off the event, Toshiba’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Scott Maccabe gave a “State of Toshiba” address while informing the contingent about the company’s continuing market expansion. Maccabe was particularly enthusiastic about Toshiba’s partnership with AEG to create a first-of-its-kind fan engagement destination, LA Interactive powered by Toshiba within Staples Center in Los Angeles.
To energize and engage the LEAD audience, NFL Hall of Fame Member, Troy Aikman shared his insights while answering audience questions on myriad topics. The three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback addressed such varied subjects as concussions in football to parenting.

“As our keynote speaker, Troy Aikman referenced during the conference, it took the collective efforts of his teammates to allow the Cowboys to experience the Super Bowl success they enjoyed,” Maccabe said. “Similarly for our team, to win a Gold Stevie for LEAD 2014 is a tribute to the many employees involved to successfully hold our all-encompassing, yearly event.”

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top sales awards, business development awards, contact center awards, and customer service awards. The Stevie Awards organizes several of the world’s leading business awards shows including the prestigious American Business AwardsSM and International Business AwardsSM.

More than 100 members of several specialized judging committees determined the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging earlier this month.
“Entries to the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service awards have more than doubled over the past three years,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “The widespread support of this program illustrates the importance of the functions it recognizes to business success. This year’s Stevie Award winners are the highest rated in the history of the awards, and we congratulate all of the winners on their commitment to excellence and innovation.”
