A native Texan has joined the ranks of Shoppa’s Material Handling as operations manager in Odessa, the company announced. Mike Wenske has many years of experience with operations management, having recently been operations manager for Cisco Equipment, general manager for Custom Truck and Equipment and territory manager for IronPlanet.

“Mike’s positive energy and confident attitude will translate to improved and thoughtful
leadership at our booming Odessa location,” said Jim Shoppa, president of Shoppa’s
Material Handling. “He is a great addition to Shoppa’s leadership team.”
Wenske was born and raised in Nixon, Texas and is a Vietnam-era U.S. Army veteran.
He says he is excited to join Shoppa’s.

“I understand Shoppa’s mindset on quality and consistency,” Wenske said. “That’s in
line with my own values and I’m looking forward to being part of the team. My goal
is to help direct the growth of this location in line with the direction of corporate
objectives.”
