Mountain Tarp expands Texas service area

Mountain Tarp, a Wastequip brand, and one of the industry’s most trusted manufacturers of quality tarping solutions, announces the opening of its newest installation and repair facility in San Antonio, Texas. The San Antonio installation and repair center is conveniently located between downtown San Antonio and San Antonio International Airport, near I-10, I-410, I-35, and Highway 281. The facility is a satellite of the Houston, Texas facility that opened in 2013, and will specialize in complete tarping system installation, parts sales and service and repairs.

The opening of the new Mountain Tarp facility is part of Wastequip’s strategic growth plan, with manufacturing and services expansions designed to localize geographic regions to provide sales, service and repair solutions for waste and recycling trucks in the regional vicinity where they operate. The locally-staffed and operated facility serves as a Mountain Tarp “branch” to better meet customer demand. In addition, the new facility will provide a competitive cost base for replacement parts, with immediate fulfillment capabilities. With this new facility in San Antonio, customers can expect the superior installation, service, and repair solutions they’ve trusted throughout the years from existing Mountain Tarp facilities in Ohio, Kentucky and Texas.

“The targeted expansion of our service and installation network for tarps is the first in a series of growth announcements we will make this year,” said John Defenbaugh, president of Wastequip’s mobile products division. “We’re committed to sustained growth, and we’re confident that our expansion strategy will strengthen Wastequip and our ability to serve customers.”

Mountain Tarp offers flip tarps for trailers and dump bodies; cable-style solutions for trailers and roll-off systems; and a variety of specialty tarp systems for the waste, construction, paving, landscaping, scrap, and oil/gas industries.
