Kane Is Able names new senior director of operations

Third-party logistics provider Kane Is Able, Inc. recently named Ed Shoemaker as senior director of operations. He has responsibility for operations for twelve of KANE’s distribution facilities across the United States offering optimum logistics solutions to the consumer goods industry. He reports to KANE’s senior vice president of operations, Mike Albert.

Shoemaker joined KANE in 2005 as a distribution center manager for customers Kraft Foods and Old Mother Hubbard/WellPet in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He then transitioned to the engineering department in 2009 where he was responsible for project management, solutions design and RFPs, championed sustainability programs, and served on the WMS implementation team of Manhattan Associates software. In 2012, he was promoted to senior director of engineering solutions.

Shoemaker possesses nearly thirty years of logistics experience and previously served in operational roles at Jacobson Companies, Penske Logistics, and GENCO.

A resident of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, Shoemaker received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on general management from Shippensburg University.
