Industrial Scientific announced today that it was named the Advanced Manufacturing Company of the Year in the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s Tech 50 Awards. The annual awards program recognizes southwestern Pennsylvania’s most successful, innovative and thought-leading companies and executives. According to the Council, the finalists for Advanced Manufacturing Company of the Year employ leading-edge technologies throughout their manufacturing processes to accelerate productivity and bring valuable new solutions to their respective marketplaces. Justin McElhattan, the company’s president and CEO, accepted the award on behalf of the company, recognizing the work of Industrial Scientific’s approximately 1,000 employees worldwide. “This award is in recognition of our employees’ dedication to delivering innovative products and services that improve worker safety and ultimately bring us closer to realizing our vision of ending death on the job in this century,” said McElhattan. “Thank you to the technology community for making Pittsburgh such a great place in which to conduct this work.”
