Yale Materials Handling Corporation was recently named as a Top Green Provider by Food Logistics for the second year in a row. The award was received based on Yale’s commitment to reduce environmental impact by continuing to manufacture more sustainable materials handling equipment.

Yale is one of the largest volume producers of zero-emissions electric lift trucks in the North American market. The company’s products are built with sustainability and recyclability in mind so that customers can continue their operations without having to worry about the lift truck’s effect on the environment.

“Not only do we manufacture responsible lift trucks, but we also strive to increase the efficiency of our customer’s operations with the right combination of products and services,” said David McNeill, warehouse products manager for Yale. “We design our lift trucks in such a way that, when placed in the right application, deliver optimum performance for our customer’s operation – driving down operating costs and boosting efficiency. These gains are directly tied to a reduced environmental impact.”

Recipients of the 2014 Top Green Provider award includes food producers and manufacturers, 3PLs and transportation and logistics providers, equipment manufacturers and other companies who have incorporated or provided environmentally friendly initiatives. The companies recognized for their sustainability efforts are profiled in the June issue of Food Logistics.
