Flash Global (“Flash”) in continuation of their “Customer First Mentality” to generate optimized service supply chain solutions, has announced a new addition to their executive team. Matthew J. Zimmer has been named to the position of senior vice president, customer solutions. In his role, Zimmer will focus on deepening customer partnerships across Flash’s expanding client roster to strengthen the company’s continued mission of providing superior service supply-chain solutions, proactive customer management and driving consistent execution, anytime…anywhere.

Having successfully held several executive level positions within Fortune 500 companies, Zimmer brings to Flash a strong blend of supply chain, operations and business acumen.

“Adding Matt is part of our ongoing strategy to develop a leadership team comprised of proven talent but with a unique blend of complementary supply chain experiences and a relentless desire to win in all that we do. Our balanced approach will be further strengthened in doing the right things for our customers, employees and the company,” said Sam Mikles, CEO.

Zimmer’s vertical experience is broad, having helped optimize customers across a multitude of industries including data storage, networking, telecom, consumer electronics, automotive, and medical, just to name a few.

“My expertise in achieving significant revenue growth, customer satisfaction and positive employee morale positions me to do the same for our Flash customers. I will be committed to developing and monetizing successful strategies that will grow our customers’ reach and portfolios, while internally focusing our employees to ensure our team is enhancing velocity and traction for those customers,” says Mr. Zimmer.

Mark Hessinger, who previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Customer Advocacy, will step into a new role as Senior Vice President, Customer Operations. In this role Hessinger will be the executive leader in charge of Flash operations worldwide. Mikles, who was promoted to CEO in early 2014, was dually managing the operations division at Flash prior to Mr. Hessinger’s appointment.

“I am committed to leading and growing the Flash organization and its people, while continuously raising the bar in service excellence to meet the needs of our clients. With the addition of Matt, and the focus Mark will place on operations, we will see even stronger execution, more precise solutions and stronger proactive customer engagement. My focus will be directed to ensure Flash is well positioned to develop our strategic alliances, partnerships, and evaluate acquisitions that support our growth strategy in driving unique value to our client base,” said Mr. Mikles.
