Datalogic nominates new key positions

Datalogic S.p.A., has nominated Jacopo Mazzolin as senior vice president and chief human resources officer and Paul August Maltseff as US chief intellectual property counsel, taking office respectively from January 1 and 2, 2014.

With almost 20 years of international experience, Jacopo Mazzolin has held various leadership roles in the field of human resources, particularly at large multinational groups. Jacopo Mazzolin comes to Datalogic from the company Crown Holdings Inc., where he was head of human resources for the food packaging division. His experience also includes roles at Constellium (former Rio Tinto – Alcan EP), ITT Corporation, Whirlpool, Alcoa, and Telit Wireless Solutions. His professional skills, acquired within structured and multinational environments, as well as the international working experience across EMEA, APAC countries and the Americas, will be instrumental in supporting company development. At Datalogic he will manage the group’s HR, working towards designing, developing and implementing a strategy based on the growth and development of human capital. Mazzolin will report directly to Romano Volta, Chairman and CEO of Datalogic S.p.A.

Paul August Maltseff joins Datalogic after many years’ of experience at Intermec Technologies Corporation, where he served as chief intellectual property counsel and previously as chief technologist IP. With a brilliant career spanning over 20 years in managing IP in the ADC market and a strong education and academic background (degree in Radio-Electronic Engineering, PhD in Military Cybernetics, Doctor of Technical Science in Applied Cybernetics, JD and US Patent Attorney), Maltseff possesses extensive technical and professional knowledge in the fields of information technology, wireless communication, artificial intelligence, as well as that of automatic identification systems.

During his tenure at Intermec, Maltseff led and successfully coordinated large international development projects, IP strategy and process improvement, and significant litigation wins. Maltseff will take a key leadership position within the Corporate Legal & IP team, aimed at fostering a strategic vision and dynamic management of Datalogic’s patent portfolio, as well as boosting innovation across all business and geographical areas. Maltseff  will report to Federica Lolli – Group General Counsel.
