Crown Equipment recognizes leading dealers in Latin America

Crown Equipment Corporation recently recognized its top performing dealers in Latin America. Lift Trucks & Parts, Inc. in Puerto Rico and IMEQ Dominicana S.A. in the Dominican Republic earned top awards for sales and service performance.

Crown’s Latin America award program is modeled after the company’s North America awards program that honors the company’s best branches and dealers with Summit and Ascent Awards for outstanding achievements in sales and customer satisfaction.

Lift Trucks & Parts, Inc. earned a Summit Award for its continued growth and performance in the Puerto Rico market. The company has been an independent Crown dealer since 1998, and provides sales and services to customers throughout the island.

“We are honored to receive this award and we are proud to be a part of Crown Equipment,” said Victor Nieto, president, Lift Trucks & Parts, Inc. “I want to thank our dedicated staff who every day are focused on strengthening our customer relationships and helping our customers advance the productivity of their operations.”

IMEQ Dominicana S.A. earned an Ascent Award for the sales and performance growth it achieved in the Dominican Republic. The independent dealer has been a part of Crown’s Latin America distribution network since 2003, and serves the entire Dominican Republic market.

“For us, this recognition is a welcome result of the hard work we’ve all put forth the past year,” said Jose Octavio Faya, president, IMEQ Dominicana S.A. “Our dedicated staff strives to ensure that all of our customers have the Crown experience they’ve come to expect from this well-trusted and dependable brand.”

Awards were presented at the company’s Latin America/Caribbean Sales and Service meeting, which was held this year at Crown’s new European headquarters in Feldkirchen, Germany. According to Joe Ritter, director of operations in Latin America, Crown Equipment, the winners exemplify Crown’s commitment to providing customers with the right material handling equipment and technology to help control costs, improve safety and enhance energy efficiency.

“The Latin America market is poised for growth, and it is retail locations such as these that will help ensure Crown Equipment and our customers meet those growing needs. We are grateful to have these outstanding winners as part of our Latin America distribution network,” said Ritter. “Having the event in Europe this year gave our Latin American partners an excellent opportunity to see Crown’s new European headquarters, tour our recently expanded manufacturing facility and attend the CeMAT expo in Hannover.”

Crown Equipment operates a global service and distribution network that exceeds 500 locations in more than 80 countries. This includes the 20 company-owned branches and independent dealers that comprise the Latin American and Caribbean distribution network. Most recently, the company opened a 3,300-square-meters (35,000-square-foot) Crown Lift Trucks branch in Jundiai, Brazil, one hour north of São Paulo.
