Cat Lift Trucks announced that they have been named a “Top Green Provider” for 2013 by Food Logistics magazine. Each year, Food Logistics recognizes companies whose products, services or exemplary leadership help to enhance sustainability in the food and beverage supply chain. “We are honored that Cat Lift Trucks is, once again, recognized as a ‘Top Green Provider,’ by Food Logistics magazine,” said Kent Eudy, executive vice president of sales and marketing, Cat Lift Trucks. “Our goal is to provide customers with top-quality lift trucks, which offer increased productivity and energy-efficiency in day-to-day operations.”

Suitable for a wide-range of environments, including food distribution and warehouse applications, Cat Lift Trucks extensive line of electric lift trucks feature capacities ranging from 2,500 to 10,000 lbs. In addition to offering lower energy consumption, advanced operator ergonomics and increased productivity, the electric Cat® lift trucks do not consume fossil fuels or release harmful emissions.

To help customers assess the energy and cost-saving differences between electric and internal combustion (IC) trucks, Cat Lift Trucks also developed a Lift Truck Cost Comparison Tool, hosted on www.cat-lift.com, which factors in a lift truck’s total cost of ownership—acquisition, fuel and maintenance—with return on investment. The benefit is to allow customers to easily identify the most efficient lift truck solution for their material handling application.
