Barcoding, Inc., has announced that Jeff Gillis, chief financial officer (CFO), has garnered a 2015 Best in Finance: CFO Award from the Baltimore Business Journal. Gillis was recognized for his ability to leverage financial best practices, relationship-building skills, and his strategic vision to drive Barcoding’s continued growth and success. The Baltimore Business Journal’s Best in Finance: CFO Awards honor the area’s top financial professionals for their fiscal leadership, diligent management and the positive impact they have on their companies and organizations.

“Technology is constantly changing, so it is important for Barcoding to dynamically shift our business model to account for these changes and remain profitable,” said Jeff Gillis, CFO, Barcoding, Inc. “At the same time, we focus on implementing lean strategies throughout our business to make sure that not only our clients, but Barcoding itself is operating with maximum efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. This approach has been key to our success.”

With more than 20 years of experience, Gillis oversees Barcoding’s financial services division, while managing human resources and the Two-Way Radios by Barcoding™ practice area. In 2014 alone, Gillis helped Barcoding achieve a bottom-line growth of 70 percent, increased cash flow, implemented a scalable cost model, and even reduced Barcoding’s staff’s healthcare costs.

Shane Snyder, president, Barcoding, Inc., said, “Jeff Gillis continuously exemplifies leadership beyond that of a typical CFO. His ability to blend together the relationship-centric mindset of a salesperson, the strategic vision of a CEO, and the financial prowess of an accountant makes him a valuable piece of the Barcoding team. Congratulations, Jeff!”
