Barcoding wins 2015 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 Award

Barcoding, Inc., announces that it has been named to the Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE) 100, an annual list of 100 Great Supply Chain Projects. Barcoding’s award-winning project involved implementing a customized barcode scanning solution to help Canton Port Services eliminate manual data collection processes in its receiving, load out, and customs-clearing operations.

The 2015 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 are supply chain solution and service providers who are helping their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence. They have produced measurable gains in ROI through cost-cutting and increased efficiency, whether in warehouse, transportation, procurement sourcing, or any other category in the end-to-end supply chain.   For this project, Barcoding worked with Baltimore-based Canton Port Services to deploy a barcode scanning system consisting of mobile computers, printers, barcode labels, and a customized web-based application developed with its CaptureSoft eXpress™ platform. With Barcoding’s solution, Canton Port Services increased data accuracy and integrity in its receiving, load out, and customs clearing processes. It also decreased receiving time per unit from 10 minutes to 30 seconds, reduced risks associated with inaccuracies in customs clearing, and strengthened its relationship with a partner cargo line company.   “Our work with Canton Port Services is a great example of the positive impact we have on our clients every day,” said Shane Snyder, president, Barcoding, Inc. “Whether it’s through a customized, end-to-end solution, complex systems integration, or hardware recommendation, Barcoding is always looking for ways to help organizations use AIDC technology to become more efficient, accurate, and connected. We are honored to receive a SDCE 100 award this year and look forward to many other great supply chain projects down the road.”
