Barcoding recognized on 2014 FL100+ List

Barcoding, Inc. announces its inclusion on the 2014 FL100+ list, Food Logistics’ annual list of influential software and technology providers for the food and beverage industry. Food Logistics recognized Barcoding for excellence in designing, developing and implementing mobile and automated data capture technology that helps clients overcome food safety and traceability challenges while making their supply chains more efficient, accurate and connected.   Shane Snyder, president, Barcoding, Inc., said, “With a growing number of industry and federal regulations, food and beverage companies are looking to automated data capture technology, like barcoding and RFID, to enable more efficient and accurate traceability throughout the supply chain. By creating a detailed chain of custody and reducing – if not eliminating – manual data entry along the way, these technologies are helping to mitigate recalls, maintain compliance, expedite product movement, and ultimately keep consumers healthy and safe.”   For more than a decade, the editors of Food Logistics have profiled software and technology providers that hold influential roles in the global food and beverage supply chain. Their products benefit the industry in multiple ways, from reducing food waste and extending shelf life, to facilitating safe and sanitary transportation of product while assuring regulatory compliance.   “The impact of software and technology on the global food supply chain is truly profound,” said Lara L. Sowinski, editor-in-chief at Food Logistics. “Software solution providers, equipment manufacturers and numerous technology innovations are supporting growth in our industry while concurrently lowering operating costs, improving productivity and enhancing visibility from farm to fork.”   The robust activity in the software and technology sector relative to the global food and beverage supply chain prompted Food Logistics to expand the list this year and rename it as the FL100+. Companies who earned a spot on the FL100+ list are featured in the November/December 2014 issue of Food Logistics, as well as online at www.foodlogistics.com.
