Barcoding, Inc.  announced the promotion of Shane Snyder to president, with Jay Steinmetz resuming the role of chief executive officer. As president, Snyder will direct Barcoding’s day-to-day business operations and lead expansions into traditional markets. With more than 22 years of success in sales management, workforce management, consulting and decision support sectors, Snyder came to Barcoding as vice president of sales in 2010. In this position, Snyder led Barcoding’s national sales force, reconstituted the inside sales organization and opened a new office in Chicago. Jay Steinmetz, CEO, Barcoding, Inc., said, “During his tenure as VP of sales, Shane Snyder proved to be the driving force behind the growth and stabilization of Barcoding’s sales team. Shane’s deep understanding of our business model, target markets, and breadth of mobile solutions more than qualify him to assume role of president.” Prior to Barcoding, Snyder served as executive vice president of sales for Catalyst IT Services. Snyder began his career as a sales representative at Kronos Incorporated and went on to become the company’s national director of sales in 2001. Snyder holds a bachelor of science/bachelor of arts in accounting and a master of information science from Bucknell University. “The constant evolution of technology and growing number of organizations recognizing the potential of data capture and mobility solutions make it an exciting time work for Barcoding, Inc.,” Shane Snyder said. “I look forward to my new role as the company’s president and to continue growing Barcoding in the right direction.”
