Members of the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA), the resource for warehouse logistics, recently elected Frank Anderson, vice president of RBW Logistics based in Augusta, Ga., as secretary of the IWLA Executive Committee. Anderson’s election was during the annual IWLA business meeting March 10 in Savannah, Ga.

Anderson, who has served on the IWLA board of directors since 2011, is a member of the IWLA Food Council, IWLA Government Affairs Council, IWLA Political Action Committee, and the IWLA Insurance & Legal Committee. He is board liaison to the IWLA Emerging Leaders program, working to develop the next generation of warehouse logistics leaders. He is also board liaison to the Sister Association & Industry Committee.   “We are grateful to have Frank’s leadership for the last four years and we are confident in his ability to lead as chairman of the association in the future. He has contributed greatly to IWLA strategic planning with a focus on membership and financial stability,” says IWLA president & CEO Steve DeHaan. (IWLA tradition and bylaws outline a progression through the executive committee culminating in the association’s chairmanship.)   Anderson has been with RBW for nearly 20 years, serving as vice president for 10. His responsibilities include strategic planning, direction, and the company’s overall performance. He leads the executive team in planning, budgeting, financial, and human resource decisions. Anderson is involved in marketing plans and business development. He also oversees the warehouse operations and develops short- and long-term goals to meet RBW objectives.   RBW’s roots in third-party logistics date back to 1954, as broker and shipper of sugar and chocolate used by a local cookie manufacturer. Today, RBW operates nearly 2 million square feet of warehouse space from 10 locations throughout the southeastern United States. The company specializes in warehouse operations for a wide variety of clients: automotive, consumer packaged goods, food, apparel, plastics, and paper. RBW also provides transportation services through an asset-based fleet of trucks and freight brokerage.   Anderson served on the board of the Southeast Warehouse Association from 2001 to 2011 and as president in 2010. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Georgia.
