The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) has announced Ajay Bajaj, President and Owner of Rotator Products Limited, as the recipient of the 2025 Warren Pike Award for lifetime achievement in the power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) industry.
The Warren Pike Award, named in honor of PTDA’s co-founder and first president, recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding, continuous and selfless leadership in support of the Association and the PT/MC industry. Bajaj exemplifies these qualities through his decades-long career marked by innovation, mentorship and service.
After beginning his career as an engineer with an international gearbox and coupling manufacturer in New Delhi, Bajaj joined Voith to help launch its Canadian operations. His transition into distribution came when he joined Rotator Products, where his technical expertise and entrepreneurial drive soon reshaped the business. Since purchasing the company in the early 2000s, he has transformed Rotator Products from a traditional power transmission supplier into a provider of engineered solutions—offering specialized products and designs for complex industrial applications.
In addition to his business success, Bajaj has made a lasting impact through his commitment to the industry and the PTDA community. He has served on numerous committees, the Board of Directors and served as PTDA President in 2015. Currently, Bajaj serves on the PTDA Foundation Board of Trustees. He is dedicated to the Foundation’s mission of developing the next generation of industry professionals.
“The Foundation’s work really speaks to me,” Bajaj shared. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to support scholarships and awards that help the next generation of industry professionals. The work may not always apply directly to my company, but it’s important to support the industry as a whole. What we invest now will benefit all of us in the long run.”
His enduring enthusiasm, leadership and optimism reflect the very spirit of the Warren Pike Award. “I enjoy what I do,” Bajaj said. “I’ve been fortunate since day one. I have fun, it’s fulfilling and it brings me satisfaction. As long as I’m healthy, I’ll stay busy.”
