Standard Knapp announces Model 333 Vanguard Wrap-Around packer

Listen to this article

Standard-Knapp announces the Model 333 Vanguard Wrap-Around Packer, which produces a tight, square, cost-saving wrap-around tray or full case shipper. Depending upon the product and the case, the Vanguard offers speeds of up to 30 cycles per minute. With its robust construction, Vanguard offers high reliability for 24/7 operation and a compact design that fits into any shop floor. Snap-in parts and quick-handle adjustments provide reliable, repeatable changeover. Vanguard can handle a wide product packaging range, including cans, cartons, and bottles (glass or plastic), as well as multi-packs, tubs, and aseptic packs.

With a robust stainless steel packer frame, clustered lubrication fittings, servo-driven flow, and pneumatic-driven handling, the Vanguard offers a compact, wrap-around design that provides full corrugated wraparound packing. Pneumatically-controlled top and side actuation provide complete control over compression, so delicate products are always fully protected. Product comes in directly over the tray blank, eliminating side push and unnecessary impact on the product. Consistent blank selection and forming is guaranteed with Vanguard’s high-volume/low-pressure blowers, which provide strong vacuum for reliable blank selection and positive control.

Snap-in change parts and high-visibility indicators and scales ensure accurate, repeatable changeover. The case/tray magazine is crank-adjusted for easy changeover.

A welded tube frame and interlocked doors provide a steady platform and a safe work environment. Vanguard provides fast and easy operations and easy walk-by maintenance, facilitated by clear Lexan® safety guards that provide high-visibility protection throughout the system.

Vanguard’s electrical panel is equipped with program controls, servo drives, pneumatic controllers, and safety-system monitoring. The operator interface provides complete system control and is mounted at a good working height and angle for ease of use. Electrical and operator panels can be remote-mounted for ease of access and flexibility.
