PEER Bearing announced the introduction of an innovative bearing solution designed specifically for the commercial conveyor and material handling industry. According to an independent study by a leading international research company, global demand for material handling products is forecast to climb 4.0 percent annually through 2016 to $123.6 billion.  The US market, which accounted for 23 percent of global sales in 2011, is expected to remain the dominant consumer through 2016. “As a leading manufacturer of mounted ball bearing units, PEER has developed a line of material handling products in concert with our trusted solutions in the agricultural and HVAC industries,” said Dave Tiderman, Assistant Product Manager, Mounted and AG Products. With a comprehensive product offering, PEER’s material handling mounted bearing units have been designed to complement the existing range of PEER bearings. PEER’s highly reliable mounted bearing units are engineered for moderate to extreme applications and provide the following advantages:

  • Knurled landing grooves optimize seal retention.
  • Nylon retainer provides added strength and improves bearing performance from misalignment.
  • Newly developed, highly visible, open and close ended caps provide protection against injuries due to contact with rotating parts.
  • Locking options including set screw, eccentric locking collar and PEER’s patented Grip-itTM Plus provide the solutions required for the industry application needs.
