OnSSI’s new licensing structure further stimulates the migration to IP

Listen to this article

OnSSI announces a new licensing structure that effectively accelerates the migration from analog to IP video surveillance operations. The licensing is based on a one-to-one-to-many licensing structure whereby only one license is required for each encoder IP address, regardless of the number of analog cameras connected to the encoder. This provides analog system owners with a highly cost-efficient incentive to implement their migration from analog to IP functionality without having to rip and replace legacy edge devices and cabling infrastructure.

Our new licensing structure provides users employing analog cameras and infrastructure with a compelling incentive to migrate their surveillance operations to an IP platform employing the power of our Ocularis VMS solution,” said Ken LaMarca, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, OnSSI. “By greatly reducing the licensing costs associated with individual analog cameras by requiring only one license per encoder IP address, OnSSI opens up a whole new level of IP efficiency and functionality for the large population of analog system users, while further amortizing prior capital investments in their surveillance systems.” Ocularis from OnSSI delivers innovative VMS capabilities that change the rules for system design, implementation, operation and scalability. It provides new benchmarks in performance and efficiency with a truly open platform that enables higher levels of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) integration with industry leading video and access solutions.
