NexSys®+ Outdoor chargers from EnerSys® provide UL-certified charging option

Listen to this article

EnerSys has gained Underwriter Laboratories (UL) approval (UL1012) for its NexSys®+  Outdoor chargers, the newest innovation in the company’s line of high-quality industrial charging solutions. Offering the same capabilities as their advanced NexSys®+ chargers, the NexSys®+ Outdoor charger is protected by a NEMA 3R and IP54-rated enclosure for resistance to common weather conditions, providing a safe and dependable charging option for battery-powered material handling and airport ground support equipment that operates outdoors.

According to Alex Capellini, Director of Product Management, Electronics and Accessories, Motive  Power at EnerSys, “Our new NexSys®+ Outdoor charger provides electric-powered equipment fleet operating outdoors an advanced, highly-efficient charging option. This new UL certification further  underscores the value all our charger products can deliver to fleets seeking to improve operations,  whether they run indoors, outdoors, or both.”

NexSys®+ Outdoor chargers automatically regulate internal temperature for consistent performance and offer automatic and manual start/stop functionality for added convenience. Excellent for charging  equipment at building material and rental yards, airports, farms, ports, and cargo terminals, each

NexSys®+ Outdoor charger can deliver up to 94% charging efficiency and features intuitive operating controls with a crisp 4.3-inch color display.

“In May, our 80-volt NexSys®iON lithium-ion batteries achieved the latest UL2580 Rev3 certification. To receive another UL listing within just a few months later for our NexSys®+ Outdoor charger is a result of hard work and our commitment to customer safety,” added Christina Warn, Global Director of Marketing,  Motive Power at EnerSys. “The well-being of our customers has always been a core focus at EnerSys, and our NexSys®+ Outdoor chargers offer an advanced, UL-certified outdoor charging solution  exemplifying that focus.”
