The TX ISO bar light delivers uniform, high-intensity illumination in form factors of 10 feet or more for machine vision inspections demanding a wide field of view.

Metaphase Lighting Technologies  will showcase the redesign of its exceptionally versatile and easily mounted TX ISO bar light at Automate 2025. Available in lengths measuring from 3 inches to more than 10 feet, the LED illuminator delivers highly uniform bright light and easy mounting for a wide range of machine vision applications.

The ability of the TX ISO to deliver uniform illumination along any length helps eliminate the poor contrast, hot spots, and dark areas in captured images that can compromise inspection accuracy. This ensures excellent image quality in vision applications that require consistent results in a wide field of view, such as inspection of high-speed webs, flat panel displays, or solar panels.

“The TX ISO embodies our engineering team’s dedication to solving the complex illumination challenges that our customers bring to the table,” said Kevin High, president of Metaphase Lighting Technologies. “By combining highly intense uniform illumination, advanced strobing capabilities, and multiple wavelength options in a truly versatile range of footprints, the TX ISO offers a configuration for virtually any machine vision inspection application.”

State-of-the-art driver technology enables the TX ISO to deliver instant start-up and flicker-free operation. Though the driver supports DC continuous operation, it also features 4x overdrive strobing, which generates light pulses four times brighter than traditional strobing methods. This capability enhances contrast and enables more accurate inspections of fast-moving objects — a critical requirement in high-speed production environments.

Additionally, the driver’s pulse-follow strobe functionality ensures precise synchronization with external triggers and camera systems, guaranteeing that light pulses occur exactly when needed for optimal image capture.

The TX ISO offers monochromatic and multicolor illumination at multiple wavelengths in the UV, visible, infrared, and shortwave infrared bands, making it adaptable for diverse inspection requirements. Multispectral and hyperspectral options are particularly valuable in pharmaceutical inspection, food sorting, and recycling applications, where different wavelengths can reveal subtle material differences for quality control or automated sorting tasks.

Metaphase designed the TX ISO’s IP65-rated housing with T-slot and L-brackets to provide maximum installation flexibility.

The company will feature the TX ISO bar light with its other industry-leading machine vision illumination solutions at Automate, Booth 7023. The event is at Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, Michigan, from May 12 to 15.
