Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA), the provider of Jungheinrich® lift trucks and narrow-aisle products in the United States, Canada and Mexico, introduced the new Jungheinrich EFG 540k-S50 series of electric pneumatic tire forklifts. Featuring advanced technology for increased efficiency and productivity, the 8,000-11,000 lb. capacity forklift series offers operators the ability to work up to two shifts on one battery charge in most applications.

“We are excited to introduce Jungheinrich’s new ‘Pure Energy Completed’ series of forklifts to North America,” said Chad Pauler, product line manager at MCFA. “The new EFG 5 series is yet another example of Jungheinrich’s commitment to designing technologically-advanced products with a focus on performance and efficiency.”

Increased efficiency, improved ergonomics and several model selections are among the key differentiators of the Jungheinrich EFG 540k-EFG S50 series.

  • Increased Efficiency: The EFG 540k-EFG S50 series boasts improved efficiency of up to 20 percent over the previous model series. Power consumption is minimized through the continued advances in Jungheinrich’s exclusive AC electronic control system and strategic placement of key components within the lift truck’s chassis. The EFG 540k-EFG S50 series also raises the bar in performance and energy efficiency by achieving the most pallet movement cycles using the least amount of energy as compared to competitive products. This energy efficiency is demonstrated by the virtue that the EFG model can run up to two shifts on a single battery charge in most applications.
  • Improved Ergonomics: The EFG 540k-EFG S50 series features a refined and spacious operator compartment with three-way adjustable Grammer full-suspension seat, long right-side convenience tray with clipboard and cup holders, and a SOLO-PILOT hydraulic lever control. For added flexibility, customers can also equip the forklift with an optional MULTI-PILOT (unitized) hydraulic lever control.
  • Expanded Model Range: The EFG 540k-EFG S50 series provides customers the flexibility to choose from seven models within the 8,000-11,000 lb. capacity range, including compact models offering equivalent capacities. Customers also have a variety of options to choose from, including closed cabins, electronic power steering, keypad access, cold storage prep and dual pneumatic tires.
  • Flexible Use: This new series features an extended battery life and the ability to effectively operate in a wide-range of indoor and outdoor applications, such as agricultural and lumber environments. Businesses seeking to reduce their overall fuel costs or reduce emissions will also benefit from this new series of electric forklifts.
