Konecranes offers tailor-made reach stackers designed for a variety of industries, from steel, wind energy, nuclear and oil & gas, to traditional and intermodal terminals. Konecranes has also developed the world’s largest reach stacker for barge handling. The industrial line of reach stackers from Konecranes is extremely versatile, with a variety of options, including using the stacker with C-hooks for carrying coils or fitting them with magnets for handling plate steel and slab grabs for the steel industry. Another feature that increases efficiency is removing the spreader, typically used for handling containers, and installing a hook to turn it into an 80-ton pick and carry crane that can be operated by a fork lift truck operator rather than a licensed crane operator. Industrial reach stackers from Konecranes are designed to simplify customers’ operations. The load-sensing hydraulic system with variable piston pumps has been designed to provide optimum balance between engine power and hydraulic demand for any given lift. Operating cabs on reach stackers from Konecranes have been designed with the operator in mind and offer superior visibility, ergonomic design, and comfort. Controls are within reach and functions can be checked at a glance, allowing for a more efficient work environment when cargo handling.
