Hinged shaft collars simplify assembly in remote locations

A new line of hinged shaft collars that now includes different bore styles with attached screws to simplify assembly in remote locations is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.  Stafford hinged shaft collars feature a triple-link hinge and a captive clamping screw but provide the same holding power as standard two-piece collars.  Now available with square, hex, round and threaded bores, they are ideally suited for assembly or repair in remote access locations such as conveyor systems and other difficult to reach machinery and equipment.  Eliminating two-piece collars with two clamping screws, Stafford hinged shaft collars prevent fumbling and lost screws that could fall into equipment.  Available in 25 sizes from 3/8” to 4” I.D. and 16 metric sizes from 6 mm to 50 mm, they are offered in steel and two grades of stainless steel.  These collars can be modified with tapped holes for attaching sensors.
