CM Bandit ratchet lever hoist now available in three and six ton capacities

Listen to this article

The world’s first HMI-certified ratchet lever hoist and one of the most versatile hoists on the market today, the CM Bandit is now available in three and six ton capacities. This addition complements Columbus McKinnon Corporation’s initial offering of 3/4 and 1-1/2 ton units. As a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of material handling products, the company designed the lightweight and compact CM Bandit for the global market with features that include a 360° rotating handle, corrosion-resistant gold chromate chain and bolt-on hooks for easy inspection.

Since the initial launch of the CM Bandit, Columbus McKinnon has continued to improve the hoist to exceed customer demands and requirements. Last year, the company added 3/4 and 1-1/2 ton models of the Bandit to its in-stock guarantee, ensuring shipment of these popular hoists in three business days or less.

The company also launched CM Smart ID™ radio frequency identification technology as a standard feature on all Bandit units for the U.S. market. CM Smart ID chips are associated with detailed product specifications before the hoist leaves the CMCO factory. This information can then be integrated into inventory and inspection management systems for more effective tracking of safety and hoist location information.

Most recently, Columbus McKinnon made CM Bandit parts available through its new Parts Star™ Program. Now, customers can get genuine Bandit parts faster an easier with Total Repair Kits and economical bulk packaging.

New three and six ton models of the CM Bandit also feature the Tri-Point Hook Inspection System, which consists of three distinct raised points on the hook that the operator can use to detect any indication of overload or deformation.

In addition to these new benefits, the CM Bandit continues to feature: American-made gold chromate chain, zinc plating on major components for extra protection against corrosion, and forged upper and lower hooks that are bolted on and swivel for easy inspection and removal.
