AMETEK Prestolite Power, provider of industrial battery charging and fleet management solutions,  introduced the Site Probe, its latest product designed to improve overall warehouse efficiency by providing 24/7 activity monitoring of lift truck battery usage. The unique new Site Probe fills a long-standing monitoring and reporting need by operators of warehouses and other facilities where motive battery-powered forklifts and other utility vehicles are used. According to Jeff Harrison, sales and marketing director at AMETEK Prestolite Power, “The Site Probe is a valuable tool for conducting a complete power study of each facility to determine exactly what the power requirements will be for maximum efficiency during battery charging operations.  It also serves as a diagnostic device to find the causes of application problems that prevent maximum throughput and productivity.” In addition to its diagnostic capabilities, he said, the Site Probe’s built-in data analysis tools allow users to better understand charging opportunities, idle times and amp hours consumed.
