The University of Scranton has selected Scranton Products lockers and restroom partitions for a new sports complex featuring three all-purpose turf fields, bleacher seating, and a 4,000-square-foot field house. The state-of-the-art Kevin P. Quinn, S.J., Athletics Campus is the latest phase in the university’s plans to improve student/athlete experiences, beautify the neighborhood and complement South Scranton’s revitalization efforts

“We built a sports complex that will be the envy of neighboring institutions and the pride of our entire community,” explains Jim Devers, the athletic complex’s project manager, who previously served as the associate vice president for facility operations at the University of Scranton for 33 years. “Pragmatic style coupled with long-lasting functionality is the way we envisioned the field house, which serves as a contemporary hub for all of the different ball fields.”

Devers was equally impressed with Scranton Products’ custom services, which designed the field house lockers with the university’s squib “S” logo and purple signature color. Built to withstand the wear and tear of athletic, healthcare and recreational environments. Scranton Products’ Tufftec lockers feature a non-porous surface that is easy to clean and naturally resistant to bacteria, odors, mold, and mildew. The company’s Hiny Hiders® partitions also never need painting and offer superior resistance to dents, scratches, graffiti, corrosion, mildew, and moisture.

According to Devers, Scranton Products has played an important role at the college for decades. “The company’s HDPE Hiny Hiders partitions and Tufftec lockers are used in nearly every building on campus. We knew exactly what we were receiving when we placed them in the new field house. The quality is fantastic and as far as I know, they have never been replaced throughout my time at the university.”
